My name is Negar Hosseini, and I completed my B.Sc. in Railway Rolling Stock Engineering, a subfield of Mechanical Engineering, at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 2023. More details about my final B.Sc. thesis are are provided below.

Currently, I'm seeking a graduate research position in Robotics, ML, DL, RL, Mechatronics, Control, or a related field.

I attended the Self-Driving Cars League at Iran Open 2023, which was held in April 2023 in Iran, and I gained a lot of valuable experiences.

I Defended My Thesis on 19 September 2023 🎓

I've always been passionate about robotics research, which is why I chose to focus my thesis project in this field. Given my proficiency in deep learning and programming, I opted to train a YOLO model (YOLOv8) to detect specific objects on railways. In the end, I developed a user interface using the PyQt5 module, which utilizes the trained model to detect these objects in provided images.

I was invited to talk about AI in general at IUST, in summer 2023. (in Farsi)

A webinar on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Image Processing was held on July 7, 2023 in cooperation with the Robotics and Mechatronics Scientific Association of Iran University of Science and Technology.
